چکیده

Abstract Sliding and spinning behaviors significantly affect the performance of rolling bearings, especially for dry-lubricated micro macro sliding may lead to increased wear solid lubricating film. A unified contact tribology analytical model is proposed angular ball bearings (ACBBs) considering extreme conditions including high combined loads effects. comprehensive solution framework ensure robustness under different loading conditions. Equilibrium equations are solved study effects friction coefficients, rotating speeds, on skidding characteristics ACBB. The results show that Further analysis reveals mechanism related interaction between kinematical motion traction forces. developed proved more accurately predict bearing tribological behavior as it discards raceway control hypothesis considers macro/micro-slipping, creepage, self-spinning motions ball, which validated using both existing pure axial ACBB classical Jones—Harris model. would provide some guidance structure lubrication design ACBBs.

Theoretical Calculation of Thermal Contact Resistance of Ball Bearing under Different Loads

The thermal contact resistance between the balls and the inner and outer rings of an angular contact ball bearing is investigated. It is assumed that the bearing sustains thrust, radial, or combined loads under a steady-state temperature condition. The shapes and sizes of the contact areas are calculated using the Hertzian theory. The distribution of internal loading in the bearing is determine...

Influence of roughness on contact interface in fretting under dry and boundary lubricated sliding regimes

This paper presents experimental results of wear process under dry and boundary lubricated metallic (AISI 1034/AISI 52100) contacting bodies with different surfaces morphologies subjected to a wide range of kinematic fretting conditions. Analysis of damage mode observed under such fretting conditions is elucidated in context of surfaces morphologies therefore associated with surface manufacturi...

Onset of frictional sliding of rubber–glass contact under dry and lubricated conditions

Rubber friction is critical in many applications ranging from automotive tyres to cylinder seals. The process where a static rubber sample transitions to frictional sliding is particularly poorly understood. The experimental and simulation results in this paper show a completely different detachment process from the static situation to sliding motion under dry and lubricated conditions. The res...

A Thermal Elastohydrodynamic Lubricated Thrust Bearing Contact Model

A fully-coupled thermoelastic model for a fixed pad thrust bearing has been developed. Pressure, film thickness and three-dimensional temperature profiles were obtained by simultaneously solving the Reynolds, film thickness, energy and force balance equations using a combined finite difference and finite element method. The elastic deformation due to the pressure and the thermal distortion due ...

Experimental Investigation on Radial Ball Bearing Parameters Using Taguchi Method

In this work, characteristics of various ball bearing parameters are studied under different loads and rotational speeds. By using Dimensional Analysis (DA), dimensionless parameters are computed which provides solution for a group of parameters. This analysis can be accomplished by using the Buckingham π-theorem. DA leads to reduction of the number of independent parameters involved in a probl...
